Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a globally recognised course that teaches how to identify signs of mental ill-health and provide early support, including during crises. While it doesn’t train learners to be counsellors or therapists, it focuses on listening, reassuring, and responding effectively.

Everyone has mental health, but mental ill-health can affect anyone. Despite progress, stigma persists, and many are unsure how to care for mental health or support others.

The training is led by accredited MHFA England instructors, recognised by the Royal Society for Public Health.
